Why I don’t bother with New Year Resolutions

Let me ask you a question — why is Betty having the same New Year resolution (lose weight) for the past 10 years? And I say, hey Betty, if you wanna lose weight keep the bacon out of your mouth.

Here’s the most common New Year Resolutions (regardless of what year it is)

1. Lose weight
2. Stop procrastinating
3. Fall in love
4. Drink more water
5. Get a tattoo

If you look deeper, it’s all about the CULTURE.

Maybe if Betty didn’t go to Mcdonalds everyday, eat processed chicken, walk around for a bit, she might lose some weight!

Maybe if Betty didn’t lurk on facebook, update her twitter while she’s on the tiolet, and lose some weight so she can “fall in love”.

Also — DRINK MORE WATER? As oppose to what, oil? Here’s what you do, you put water in the kettle, you boil it … THEN YOU DRINK IT. No need for bottled water, ice tea, green tea, juice, milk, or oil.

Also I laughed at the get tattoo New Year Resolutions which is a cultural fad. Ask those guys who got a barb wire tattoo back in the early 90s how they’re feeling about their out-dated fad tattoo.

New Year Resolutions — just a form of procarastinating, except it’s 365 years long.
