How to lead an interesting life
If you ever sit around and say “Damn it, my life is boring!” then this article is for you.
You see, you have dreams and goals you want to achieve but you keep it under the rug because your parents, friends, the fat high school councilor told you to be more “realistic”. This means going to college and pursuing a formal career and getting a job.
But life doesn’t have to restricted to what every one else is doing. It boils down to what you want in life and going for it.
It’s really that brain dead simple.
Do what you what in life without looking for other people for validation.
For example, on November 2007 I packed my bags, moved into another city and play poker every day at the casino for one month.
It was fun and the logistic of finding a room and transportation and all that jazz worked out fine (it’s easy to do, all it takes is doing)
Life is too short to play it safe
Don’t be fooled into thinking that you’re going to live until 65 because you might get shoot, run over, bleed to death by old ladies whacking you with their hand bags … or simply die in a car crash.
I really think when people say life live to the fullest, they mean going after your dreams. Doing things that excite you.
So here is the game plan …
Write a list of 3 things that you want to do. Then do it. Of course it’s over simplified but the underlying advice is to plan and do. Not plan and think and plan some more.
