#1 body language tips for parties.
Here is one of my pet peeve. People who walk across the dance floor really fast, or look down, as if they’re hanging their head in shame as they walk.
Don’t do that.
For the most part people are doing it sub-consciously but that body language conveys submissive.
Why are you walking so fast across the dance floor? Because maybe 30 people MIGHT be looking at you? Or how about walking down the street, and the stranger walks the opposite direction of you … do you look into their eyes then look down?
If so, don’t do that :)
Another body language you want to do is when you’re carrying a drink at the party, don’t carry it in front of you as you’re protecting yourself with it. Carry it on your side, close to your hips.
People who carry their drinks up high and in front of them, I don’t know, it’s kinda weird. It’s like they’re sub-communicating “I HAVE A DRINK HERE AND I’M GOING TO SOME PLACE, get out of the way”
Makes the person seem a bit uptight. But then again, maybe they don’t want to spill their drink.
These are the little things I look for when I’m observing people.
