But I don’t recommend these free services, because they might be government monitored (even ought the academics that run the servers claim there is no monitoring). Even if you were to use such service, it is V-E-R-Y slow, so downloading stuff is a pain in the rear.

But if you really want anonymous web surfing for casual stuff, have a high powered antenna and beam it at open networks If you live in a big city, go to the downtown core were you’re able to use free WIFI because that’s where the big shot business men hang out.

I don’t recommend logging into your email or bank account for that matter, because it is over an unsecure network which people can easily grab your password, but rather for casual stuff, or for download big files … ;)

But more importantly, if you were ever to fill out information on the Internet with casual things, be sure to make some slight adjustment so companies can’t identify you. For example, if you give your full real name plus your birth date, people can very easily identify you.

There make a slight change in your birthday, with the day and year being one or two more. Or you can use a pseudonym. I recommend doing this for webpages that give you stupid surveys in order to enter the webpage or companies that demand information on order to use their service. I never recommend fraud. And because you’re not putting fake information for profit, you cannot get in trouble for it.
