I think Japanese cross dressing musicians are interesting, and they take it to the extreme. They don’t even look androgynous but rather full blown female.
Of course, cross dressing performers in Japan is nothing new; it has been there forever. Like, since their early civilization. From male performers dressing up as female on stage. I think it’s an interesting thing ought. Japan worship male feminine beauty. Like those girly dude anime character.
But I think it’s really a universal thing. Think of the recent trend of emo kids; you know those skinny boys with tight jeans, girly hair and a very high pitch gay sounding voice? And of course, some woman find that attractive. Kinda like metrosexual.
Perhaps, just maybe, men are transforming into woman 2.0
