The illusion of security

(A seasoned pro can use these tools to open your front door in less then 30 seconds)

Is your door really secure?

The locks in your front door aren’t safe – well, they are relatively safe. A seasoned criminal can open your front door by pick locking it, and a dumb ass thug can use a pick gun to open your front door (no skills or talent required)

If you really want security, call up your locksmith and tell him to give you a “high security” lock, which is drill, pick and fire proof. Then use that lock in a new door that is made of very hard wood or steel, and have a strong reinforcing frame so it can’t be easily kicked in. (No point in a having a strong door but weak frame)

Where to hide your stuff

Preparation is superior, so start now by gathering up all your important document that you need and hide it in a safe and secure place. A good place is hide it in a hollow out book, a drawer with a false bottom or in a freezer with a zip lock bag.

Hide all your cash and other stuff in a safe place. A good place to hide your cash that very few people know of is inside a “fake” peanut butter jar in the fridge. You can buy those peanut butter jar (without the peanut butter inside!) on the Internet or you can make it yourself.

How to be invisible

The less people know where you live, the better. You can do this by having a ghost address, which is basically a mail box with an apartment or suite number. Use that address whenever someone ask where you live.

This means … giving the ghost address to the bank, your doctor, the tax return, driver license, your great Uncle Jim who doesn’t visit you anymore etc ad infinitum.

Security in itself is an illusion, but having a bit of practical security doesn’t hurt, especially if someone tries to find you and hunt you down …
