How to get a discount on almost anything

Almost anything, except for places like Wal-mart where they have a sticker price on everything .This works best at mom and pop stores, or small retail stores.

Usually you can avoid paying tax if you offer the payment in cash. Because they don’t have to really ring it up, or there is no paper trail, they’ll give you the item tax free. This works great with jewelery, if you really hustle them for it.

Now this is my best technique to get a discount, and it works every time. Ask for how much the item is, and when they reply, say the store down the street / the other side of town is selling the exact same item for 35 percent less.

From there you can negotiate and get 20 or 10 percent off the price tag. Combine that with paying with cash so you can avoid the tax and you’re off to a good start! (By the way, I’m not sure about not paying sales tax for the item, so check with “The Law” haha)

Don’t be afraid to hustle and negotiate, using some tips and tactics to get a discount. It will save you tons of money in the long run. Plus it makes you a bit more socially savvy.

Just remember the two basic principle of “but the other store sells the same item for less!” and “I’ll pay cash, no tax okay?” and you should be off to a good start.
