How not to care

You cannot please everyone okay? Say no, ignore them or totally cut them off your life completely. Don’t be afraid to say no to your parents or don’t talk to them at all.

Plus I’m kinda leery of men and women in their 20s, 30s or even 40s who still seek approval from their parents or peers. To me, parental and peer approval is almost non-existence.

I simply don’t give a shit. Don’t care.

I don’t care because I don’t value people’s opinions, even from those in authority, so called experts or the old guy down the street. Opinion is like poop; everyone is proud to let a deuce drop.

And not caring is very valuable in every day situation. Examples:

- What type of major should you have in college
- Is the job right for you?
- Is the person you’re dating right for you?
- How should you dress or what should you believe in?

All those confusion and indecision goes away when you simply stop caring about other people’s opinion. It becomes all too clear because you’ll be doing whatever you feel is right for you as oppose to what you think other people might think of your choice. Simple as that.

Oh, by the way, be extra leery of negative criticism from those in authority, like teachers. They’re known to be stunningly full of shit. Once my grade 11 English teacher criticized my work but I round-house kick him to the face before he could finish.
