How to take decisive action

Decisive action is important; because more times then not people take way too much time pondering if they should do this or that, and just let the time fly by. Years pass by and then they give themselves lame excuses like “I’m too old”, “I don’t have enough time” or “I don’t have any money!”

Or they “know” how to do something but can’t actually do it. Example: My grade 11 English teacher who had a Ph.D in music but cannot play any musical instrument. Pretty weird huh? Or my favorite, a high school librarian who complained that she’s fat but won’t exercise. Ditto, fat lady!

Decisive action is the opposite of procrastination or pondering this and that.

I do this thing called Free Running, which involves climbing up tall things without any safely gear and jumping off it. When I’m jumping off from one platform to another, it’s important not to hesitate at the last moment before jumping off or I’ll lose the momentum, fall into the abyss and break my ankles.

Whatever you do in life, be decisive. If you want to build a website, find a web host and do whatever is necessary; you can get a website up in less then 2 hours. Or if you want to find a date, go to the bar/club and do your stuff. Ditto for losing weight, just go outside and run in the evening, it’s nice.

Being decisive isn’t a secret formula for success, but it’s a damn good start.
